Our Super Spacer and Spacer Bar sealed units have passed EN1279-2: 2002.
We submitted the following glass unit types for testing.
- Plain glass Superspacer units
- Georgian Bar Glass Superspacer units
- 'Real' Lead Glass Superspacer units
- Plain Glass Spacer Bar units
- Georgian Bar Glass Spacer Bar units
- 'Real' Lead Glass Spacer Bar units
All the above types of units passed testing as did our production system, these results can be taken as asurance that our sealed units meet the requirements of EN1279. The most impressive parts of the testing results are:
- All sealed unit types performed sucessfully chilled down to -60 C (i.e. moisture did not form inside the unit)
- All sealed unit types performed successfully during 56 x 12 hour cycles between -18C and + 53C (at 53 the humidity was at least 95%) Then held at 58 C for seven weeks relative humidity of at least 95%
The dessicant was then checked to show that it still retained its moisture holding capability, all tested units passed this test.
